Leaky front Diff

I noticed my front diff is leaking fluid and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. If so how easy is it to fix. I am assuming its probably just a gasket. Any thoughts?

yup... you need to drop the trans/TC and open 'er up to reseal it. if you are under warranty, see if you can get this done at the dealer

i replaced a rear diff seal myself with a friend.
was actually pretty easy.

front, sounds a bit more difficult and/or time consuming, but doable.
definitly check warranty first. mine had already run out.

Sounds like a PITA, I'm out of warranty and the dealer is giong to want my first born to fix it. Have you had to do to yours?

no i just let the formed droplets hang... its not dripping, im not really worried about it.

u may need to replace the o-ring for the oil cooler section on top of transfer case housing ,put car up & look in that area for leak .good luck

Mine was leaking very little but enough to notice a couple spots in my driveway and greasy splash gaurd. I just changed the oil in the front diff. and that solved my problem. Maybe my top bolt was loose or something may wanna try that before you spend all your money at the dealership.

Just installed my AWR rear motor mount today. In doing so, looks like im leaking out of my driver side drive shaft. Good thing for warranty!
