Just got a MSP

Hello everyone, I ran into this forum last night and started reading a few posts and decided to join. I got a Titanium Grey MSP, replacing my 97 Eclipse GST that got stolen in April. My initial impressions of the car are good - it certainly handles like a charm - better than the Eclipse ever did. In stock trim though the Eclipse did have more power, but I'm not too worried about that right now. I'm just glad I was able to get another 2.0L Turbo.
I'll be on the lookout for aftermarket parts. First on my list are coil-overs, intake, and a turbo back exhaust. I still have so much to learn about this car so hopefully I'll learn a lot from you guys!

Check out the for sale and MSP sections for pricing on intakes, FMICs and exhausts allready available for the MSP. As far as coilovers, I've met one guy who has a set on his, but what a rough ride, no suspension travel at all. I take my turns way too fast and drive way to crazy to give up the stock suspension.

Also look up info on the JoeP fuel reduction kit to help out with the overly rich fuel mapping/hesitation issue you are likely to come across if you live in hot climates. I didn't notice it for the first 5 months I had mine, but now that we're breaking 105 continually here I'm experiencing it every once and a while.

Anyway congrats and welcome aboard

Welcome, don't get coilovers, you'll ruin the ride. Get the Injen intake, big difference, as for exhaust, if you want it done right then go custom.

Chillin, thanks for the advice. I really love the stock ride so I really don't want to screw with it until there's a proven coil overs set out there. I think I'll go with Injen for now cause I can't find any hardcore top of the line turbo back systems just yet. Want a FMIC too. I'm liking this car more each day - lot's of potential to be unleashed!
