Quick question, sorry about the wording, I'm pretty drunk. Just thinking in my current state about J-spec engines and the addition of a turbo. That is, whether or not there is a significant gain over our current us 2.0s. Just curious, let me know what you guys think.

The j-spec engine comes more tuned in the naturally aspirated end of the spectrum. You don't want anything from the j-spec engine except maybe the intake manifold and the ECU. The pistons are high compression which means detonation on a turbo application. The cams I think have a higher degree of overlap which is also a bad thing for turboes. Think about what happens when both the exhaust valve and the intake valve are open when running a turbo. The ECU is not CARB legal and the intake manifold lacks the VICS system ours have which will throw a check engine light. The best advice I can give to you is the advice already given to anybody who has read Maximum Boost. Stick with the stock cams and if you were to get pistons get lower compression pistons. I think 8.5:1 would be fine

i hope you dont plan on driving while your drunk. i mean think about it..............................................................................you could damage your p5 :)
