i think you mean interceptor. The vampire units are used on direct ignition coils.

i believe you are correct, but looking at the pic i posted and the new models this one seems to be a bit older and is no longer on the site. all i know is that this was wired to a protege before and worked great.

I have a '72 BMW 2002tii running points into an MSD 6 ignition with boost retard. There is only one coil (how crude!). I can't tell if your unit will work since it doesn't seem to match up with what is on the J&S site these days. Is there a model number on it? Maybe I could ask the J&S guys. Thanks for info.
