issue with hard braking

I want to get some input on whats going on with my brakes. Under normal braking the brake is fine as normal. When I brake hard, the pedals feels like its hitting a rock and sometimes vibrates and an unpleseant sound of something hitting onto something else (sounds coming from the front), (sry Iam not sure how to describe the sound). I already fluids, front rotors and pads and changing out rear pads tomorrow. Initially i thought it was a bad pad or rotor wearing off, but now I have no clue. ***And sometimes my brake pedal will feel stuck like there something clogging it when I pull into a driveway of a certain degree. What do you think might be the problem?? I got into an accident from bad brakes and so Im taking this precaution very seriously. Please help.

Thankss!!

Sounds to me like you're describing ABS activation. It's incredibly sensitive on the MSP.

Yeah, happens all the time. Almost always when pulling into my driveway. It's happened to me in another MSP I've driven. It's a common occurrence.

It's just normal abs, pull the abs fuse and it will be like regular brakes.

I'm glad none of my cars have it

So have you been driving without abs? Not too much to handle during rain right? Worst comes to worst, I might just do that since braking on rocks isn't helping any better.

I've only owned 1 car that had abs and I sold it a year ago.

If you know what to do if tires lock up in the rain there's no issues especially when you have a manual. Or just some half decent tires

...... you can just pull a fuse that's directly linked to only ABS??? this is like a Christmas gift in word form... lol.

please tell me it's really that simple..

Should be some cars don't act right but I remember someone saying they did it on an msp and it was fine other than abs light

Volkswagens on the other hand suck if you pull the fuse

You can pull it and the car will drive just fine from what I have heard. I wouldn't recommend it though because your speedometer will not work :(

The speedo will not work with the ABS fuse pulled, but try leaving the fuse in place and pulling the relay instead.

On a side note, why the hell do you want to remove ABS? If you're activating it in the first place you aren't that skilled of a driver. Threshold braking is a skill that takes time to master, but once you do having ABS shouldn't matter.

Because abs can be overly sensitive at random times. Especially coming into a gravel driveway. My moms vibe is horrible even slow stops on dry road with neo nitto gens it will trigger it sometimes and on hard stops it won't trigger it at all. If it was more consistent I wouldn't have any issues with it
