iPod Cradle for the Car

Has anyone seen any good "iPod Cradle" like holders for cars? I want to use this with the Audio Link cable and I don't want to have to manually attach the cable to my iPod each time I get into the car. I want to just drop it on to the cradle and go.

Dice Electronics Ipod Cradle.

I just got mine from KudaUSA, but you can get it from Dice directly I think. Dice didn't respond to my email question, but Kuda did, so they got my $. I didn't get the Kuda mount, though, I went with the Proclip. I'm going to fasten the Dice cradle to the proclip CX-7 mount.

I have a 2nd-gen nano and it fit in the Nano adapter, but there's about 1/8 inch gap between the right edge of the adapter and the left edge of the nano. Holds it fine, though. I haven't installed the stuff yet.

I don't know specifically, but probably. Mine came with four or five holders for the various ipod sizes, and you just fit the right holder into the unit. Ask them--> info@kudausa.com

Found the info on the web.. it does hold the 60 gig photo ipod.

Okay, So I'll be using this cradle and "audio link"; the last piece to my ipod puzzle is a mount for the dice cradle that will put it close to the steering wheel like this:

That looks like ThoughtOut's mount. You might check out RAM-mounts for a platform sticking out away from the dash. Or maybe you can attach the Dice cradle to ThoughtOut's mount. Perhaps the cradle-portion of ThoughtOut's mount can be removed.

The one from Panavise mounts to the right side of the radio and the ones from Proclip mount on either side near the center storage compartment.

I'll post pics of my setup once it's done, but I need to go in to the dealer for some warranty work before doing any more modding.

I got my Audio Link in the mail this past weekend and installed it promptly Sunday morning. And I must say. "Wow" It was easy to install and has amazing sound quality! Thanks RMP peeps.

Well, I got the Kuda mount and the Dice coming, and the ThoughtOut mount currently in place to work with the AudioLink. I am going to give both a whirl and see what works best. I am curious to see if I can get the Dice integrated decently with the ThoughtOut. It was a little to big for a nano, so I had to use a couple of rubber spacers to keep in firmly in place.

Here is the KudaUSA mount with the Dice iPod dock. Pretty slick.

The Kuda mount. There are a couple of tabs that seemed to want to mount between the silver trim and the black stereo face which is a little difficult since they are a single piece. So, I folded the tabs inward and used foam mounting tape to adhere it to the dash trim. There is also a single screw to secure the mount just inside of the glove box.

The DICE dock. I trimmed the DICE dock and mounted it flush one the Kuda mount. I used black 3M industrial mounting tape to place the DICE. I also drilled a hole and used a sheet metal nibler to create a hole in the mount so that there are no cables exposed.
