interior A/C Lights

hey i was wondering if anyone know what size bulb is used for behind the A/C settings. i know its a clear bulb with a green plastic on it but i need blue. My hu is blue and my gauges are blue and the green looks horid!

Take it apart, it's not that hard to do...

there are leds for each button, AC and Defrost, but the other nobs are lit by two #74(??) bulbs with condoms.
i'm going to replace these with leds as soon i make another order.

just take out the stereo and reach behind.

sucks i took it apart like in the tutorial and found they were just bulbs with no clear strip, but yours may have it.

the blue leds seemed to be rather blue

these red bulbs are different than the ones i put in the signals, they don't seemed to be flat on the top.

the blue area doesn't even light up during the night

Wow that definitely looks really good. I spent a lot of time on mine, taking apart the AC controls, and putting blue lighting gels on the covers, it was a pain in the ass. A proper how to would be awesome about now

Where can you get the blue bulbs or lighting gels?

i got them from Super Bright LEDs, they work great and are much cheaper than most of the other distributors( i won't pay $15 for a dome light so i cannot compare quality )

i was going to take some pics on changing the key light bulb but it is deathly cold outside. i actually followed a tutorial on removing the steering column cover and just poked around.

I've just taken apart the cluster from my '00 Protege LX and the back of the gauge faces are coloured, the bulbs are all white!

Phoenix was your car the same? Did you just use all blue LEDs or what?

my bulbs had a green cover on them but with white bulbs it still showed a little green.

the blue LED ones will actually show through the green film, if it's not removable
i saw a bunch of clear plastic to diffuse the light in my cluster.
