Okay so i just took out my starter from my old P5 and decided to use in my MS6, the guy at my garage told me it will cost around $500 just to install , due to the itelligent key. is there another way? or are there any starters out there that cost less and are ment for this type of car?

thanks again

you mean like a button ignition?

not a botton ignition in the car, but a remote that starts the car from a far distance. a regular starter, so that the car warms up in the winter before getting in...

I've been looking for a month to find some place that will install a remote starter on a manual and I can't find anybody that will do it.

having a remote starter on a manual car is easy to find. my previous p5 had one. its a bit complicated to learn how to fully do at first but u get used to it.

for my p5 u had to arm the starter before leaving the car (as aposed to just pressing the start bottun on the remote randomly, u have to set the car first)

its a pain in the ass but when u live in a city as cold as Montreal, U need one!

but since i have heated seats in the new MS6 i might not get a starter... we'll see..

I used to have one on the protege and never had any problems. they just wired it just like an automatic and since I always leave the car in neutral, I never had any problems.

but I do guess that it will be more expensive because of the system, they have to find a way to get the car to bypass the system.

I use the Compustar 2W900FMR system. It supposedly works with all types of transmissions and even with diesel trucks.
