Integra Vs. NSX

acura nsx
---auto 252hp@6600 210ftlbs@5300
---manual 290hp@7100 224ftlbs@5500

not very impressive numbers for a 90,000 dollar vehicle

you can't just pull those numbers...give us the vehicle dry weight with those. That's what supposedly makes the NSX as impressive as it is.

--EDIT--
I'd still rather have a vette. :)

yeah i'm not to sure about how much the NSX weighs but i heard that it's supposed to be light as hell. And with 290hp at the fly wheel that thing could fly.

Wow...now that *is* unimpressive. Like I said...rather have a vette z06 for $30k less! :)

believe it or not people who drag race lamborghinis and super modded cars are arabians who are covered with white cloths all over...they got some good money..

NSX's are amazing machines, yes the price tag is a bit jarring, but still widely held as one of the best track/street handling cars in the world.

yes i agree, from almost all the import magazines I have read they rever the NSX as a car god, it is light, handles like it is on ******* rails, and produces 290N/A HP, that is alot of naturally aspirated power and torque considering I dont know too many other companies puting that out in NA form except maybe an M3, which you still talking 50-65grand for an m3 and it doesnt handle nearly as nice.

Plus think of the potential starting at almost 300horses and then going forced induction or a build up.

Plus the fact that is is friggin gorgeous.

SCC or super street just did a buyers guide for the NSX, while they agree they cost too much new, the best yr models supposedly were in the mid 90's anyway, in which case they say a low mileage 95 should run you 30-50k depending on condition and other things. Almost no auto's were produced either which is always a nice thing to see a car company do.

Between this car and the dc2/dc5 typeRs they are my favorite hondas.

The NSX is a gorgeous car. way too pricey, I agree there. make a car completely of aluminum and all of a sudden they thing they can charge redicolous amounts of money for it. 0-60 is under 5 sec, and it handles like a f'n dream. would be the deal of a life time if the car was about 20-30 grand less.

For a naturaly aspirated Car it does:

0-60..4.8-4.9sec
1/4mile...13.2-13.3@107.7MPH
Topspeed:....175MPH

Those are pretty impressive #'s. Plus a NSX is a whole different car. BTW: The Type-R and Type S-Zero's in (Japan) are running in the high 12's Stock.;)

in my area I see them all the time (scarsdale not rochester), I used to work at a dentists office and the two guys had nsx's....both silver...was the hotness.

There was some guy who twin turboed his nsx I remember, he put the intercooler in the backwindow and had a roofscoop blowing directly on it lol

This thread has the potential to become the #49288 Corvette ZO6 vs NSX threads all around the globe.

Corvette ZO6 > NSX and cheaper too

yeah the Corvette might be cheaper but, what about reliability wise, plus you can't forget the NSX has a 3.2 V-6 N/A with 290hp and 224tq. While the Z06 has a 5.7l V-8 405hp and 400tq.

Curb weight:

Z06......3116lbs
NSX......3153lbs

i'd take a NSX over a Vette, even though "i wouldn't pay 89,000 for any car". unless if it shitted out donut's and coffee in the morning or make me some breakfast. LOL

Let me put it this way, Z06's are great. NSX's are great. They are both great. However, if i can find that twin-turbo NSX link..good lord. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Red one? Real ridiculous. I think it was on this forum. I drove a NSX-T about a year ago..It was fun, auto though, and hideous tan interior. still though, very nice..too bad I couldn't fit in it.
