Well yesturday I installed my Pioneer DEH-P7400MP and all I can say is wow. It was alot better then I was expecting plays real clear and loud except the the ES's stock speakers cant really handle the power when raised. I am really happy I decided to get it now, was going to wait to later but when I saw it on sale at cardomain.com for $240.00 I had to purchase and it was deffinately worth it. I went to a junk yard and not expecting to find any , I was lucky and they had a 2000 in the yard and it still had the the little compartment under the stereo in their. I got it for $10.00. I will say that if you want factory looking it is probally the best thing to go with, although I havent seen any of the installation kits yet. Basically the din sized compartment is like a cartridge and slides in and snaps in the back(looks like the same as MP3). 1st MP3 in NH yousay Pin 12: Green / Black - n/a but I found that to be the Illumination(just noting). I will say that 1st MP3 in NH your wiring directions were very good. I used my Multi and checked to the ground power illu and so on but followed the speaker wires and that saved alot of time and were accurate. Didnt check for dimmer though. Thought I would also note that the the power wires are same colour shceme as 89 probes, dont know if it is a ford or Mazda wiring or a general wiring colour scheme, just thought I would note that. Also I used for the first time twisting reusable connectors and found them to be alot quicker and tight connection. Wanted to solder wires but didnt have time and figured later on I will be installing amps and other stuff and would probally do it then but with these connectors I was satisfied with the connection and how tight it was and think I will leave those (also did usuall electrical tape security on each individual wire and then all wires together for factory harness look and extra tightning security).
