Installation of System has begun...

Better yet Tsunami makes a dual fuesd battery top for te optimas. I have it, it rules! This way the fuses are at the battery. I have one going to the alternator and the other to the system each 1/0 direct connections, no battery terminals needed.

That sounds nice. It seems if I have also seen a distribution block/voltmeter topper for an Optima or some other aftermarket battery. Do you know what I am talking about 1st MP3 in NH??

thats the tsunami. Volt meter in the middle and its a fused distro top

THe circuit to the voltmeter is opened. If any water gets in there when the engine heats it will make the water go to vapor then the vapour rises and resettles on the circuit board, ZAP! I was washing the engine and figure it would be well enough engineered to aviod water damage, I was wrong. I got a drop in there and a day later it was dead.

Well that just plain sucks!!!! Hmm, thought about buying that piece, but I guess I can forget it. I can just mount a voltmeter inside the car. I know it will last in there, hehe.

Since you have one, do you think I could seal off the circuit area with some ABS plastic and some silicon, or just some silicon? Or is the circuit board right up against the battery itself?

The board is under the pastic window but over the fastening past through so it isn't completely sealed. If you dismanteled it some i am sure it could be sealed up. I didn't have the forsight for it though.

By the way I had to shave some metal off of the strut tower bar to fit this damn thing.

care to make me some raw kick panel forms for me? =p

Actually, before these go in the car, I am going to make some forms so that I can easily remake the kicks and possibly look into selling them to Pro owners. I will keep you updated.
