Injen CAI installation and overflow bottle

Just a quick question for those who have installed their Injen CAI.

Do you need to drill a hole in the metal bracket for the overflow bottle as indicated in the instructions? Can the overflow bottle/bracket be mounted differently using the existing holes in the bracket.

Hoping I don't have to drill as this would be a pain since I don't have a drill and all.

Nope, you gotta drill it, unless you find another way to mount it. I dont know anyone who has.

Guess its time to invest in that drill, and bit set. Sorry.

No drilling necessary. There is a screw where the stock intake sat under the hood. I mounted mine there. The bracket i used to mount had the holes in it.

i cant remember right now if I drilled or not....

i will run out to the car at lunch and check, becuase i myself am concerned that i cant even remember a simple fact like that.

on a side note, how do you not have a drill?

Dude...every real man needs a drill! But yeah...I had to drill the bracket...it's not a big deal, though. Just ask your neighbor or dad or uncle or somebody if you can borrow a drill and the correct bit, and you're golden! Or see what's on sale at local stores and maybe pick one up on the cheap!

No wonder the ladies won't take me seriously, drillless one that I am.

Haven't really needed one until now so....time to get one but what to get. Don't know about all that drill votage/power ratings. Kinda off topic but if you can offer some quick insights, much appreciated.

Dont need a bunch of power. Get 12V or higher. Two best brands are Makita (the best, in my opinion), and DeWalt. I say this as someone who was a foreman of an office installation crew who used their drills constantly 8 hours a day. The only ones that NEVER broke were the Makitas, and the DeWalts only broke a little. Black and Deckers SUCK ASS, and so do the rest of the drills.

I have the same 14.4V makita I have always had. You can break your wrist with the torque that thing produces. It has thousands of hours on it, cost me 160 bucks.
