Are there any kinds of fins or channels for the CO2 or anything inside that tube? If not, it's worthless. If there are, well, it's probably going to cool down your intake temps a bit, but you're going to be looking at a pretty high $/hp ratio in the long run.

From the website it looks like it's just a plain tube.

well from wat iv read theres a internal aluminum coil in that ice tube and when activated the CO2 goin through the coil creates a freezing chamber inside the ice tube and chilling the air just before it hits ur intake pipes and designed for n/a engine... here are some pics of wat it has in side..

they also dynoed it by GTR High Performance and they said with multiple runs, the ice Tube proved to give an average of 5.24% whp gains and 4.27% in max torque gains. And they also did a test using two 5 second blast with a 2 minute interval which showed a much bigger gain....

so 5whp for $500+cost of co2 every time it runs out. Might be cheaper to have someone bottle some canadian air from the winter time and run that through your intake <_<

Ya Rep, from the looks of that B-series engine it's thrown onto, it's just something for mindless honda fanatics to blow tons of money on lol...

I can picture them all now being like DAMNNNN, GOTTA GET DAT FO MAH V-TEC YO!!!! hahahha

na a bottle costs 385 lol but yea thats true but it mite help us protege guys get more ill keep reading and see wat i can find out.

its right up there with the uselessness of nitrous, except nitrous provides real power and yea the bottle cost $380 + $190 for the tube, so $570 for 5% of 120whp is about 6whp and thats a N/A protege with all boltons and other work.

Well, you'd be a fool to pay $400 for a new tank of compressed CO2. lol

I'd be surprised if it cost 10% of that at a welding or beverage supply company, especially if you're just refilling a tank.

yea I wouldn't recommend it. Spend that money properly and buy a turbo setup. lol

whoa look u can go to tag sales and get a $50 leaf blower and make a supercharger !!!!

thanks! guys thats y i posted this thread to see if it was worth it or not..... from yalll it really means alot cuz yall know.. i mean one has a supercharged p5 witch is awesome and then one did a kl swap and the other one is boosted so yall know alot more then i do :) and for that ilove this freaking site lol thanks again guys!!!

Okay, that twin supercharger setup is kind of baller. But homie should have used gorilla tape instead of duct tape because it would look cleaner and probably hold more boost.

cant post in ricer thread, that is straight up CORN aka Domestic Rice

why not use some water/meth injection to get the octane rating right up there would allow for pretty wild compression :)

Alternatively get a kit that injects methanol into the intake to cool the air charge directly before compression. Not sure itd have that much of a benefit in comparison to water/meth injection :)
