MSP, The BLACKNESS!
Man I was getting really disappointed by the fact my car didnt pull as hard as it should and that it was only holding boost for about 2 secs.
Well after I set my MBC to level that should have been like 17PSI and it was only at 9 and dropping I knew something had to be wrong. It had gotten slower over time.
So I got tired of turning off the engine while I was making my MBC adjustments and besides I had to miss some of Savage Nation when I did but anyway I noticed a very loud hissing coming from the stock wastegate "T" and lo-n-behold my 3/16 hose coming off my MBC to my 1/8 stock "T" was leaking like a MOFO!
It seemed to have a tight seal but no wano. I got the smallest diameter ziptie I could find and cranked that b**** down as tight as it would go. WHOA!
10-12psi with the screw backed way out of the MBC.
It holds the 10PSI for a long time the entire way up to the shift point. Man I am so happy now. I know it is leaking some but it is very minor compared to before the new zip. I will be getting yet another 1/8 to 3/16 adapter.
This thing pulls like a pitbull that has been kicked in the ass and told to go.
Consistent boost is a good thing.(rockon) (2thumbs)

yeah,, I have a 1/8-3/16" addapter too.. I believe you told me to get it,,, so far it has not leaked.. but I am pretty sure it will crap out.. its cheap thin plastic... so I will be replaceing the entire line with a new rubber hose from the wastegate to the mbc... then buy a stock wategate hose from the dealership,, incase I have to do some "warrenty" work,, I can put it back to stock...

My adapter is ok it's the stock "T" that is leaking. My aftermarket ones are doing fine. I will proablly replace the wastegate line as well but for now I'll get a 1/8 to 3/16 to go from my MBC hose back to the stock "T" so I can neck down from the larger MBC hose without pressure loss.

Well

Just pull up on the strip and you will see that the foam is kinda of stretched around the clip heads. Pull towards you and up it should then slide right off of the retaining clip.

umm,, stock 1/8" t??? all our hoses are 3/16"... Im just a bit confused as to what you are talking about.. but oh well.. point is you fixed it..

Not mine

It is a 1/8'' t and line that's the reason I had to use the adapter.
The 3/16''would not push into the smaller line.
Aparently some of these cars are not just like the others.
I was not real happy about it when I went and looked and sure enough all the other photos showed a perfect fit on the 3/16'' MBC but mine is only 1/8''!
Poor Q.C on these things.

hey yashooa, how do i remove the weather stripping? do i squeeze the clips that hold it in, or just pull them out?

I squeezed the clips with pliers and left them in the stripping. I didn't want them rattling around in the cowl. Also, I know where they are if I want to put them back.
