how to remove steering wheel?

i'm swapping the OEM plastic steering wheel with an OEM leather one from a salvage company. before i remove the airbag, i wanted to know whether the wheel is pressed onto a tapered column spline and requires a puller for removal. or, does it just slide off after bolt removal. if it requires a puller, i'm going to have to borrow one.

after some consultation with others, it seems that a puller is not necessary, so my question is answered.

2 tips -

1) Disconnect your battery before doing this. Don't want any airbag deployment.

2) Mark the wheel hub and shaft (if necessary) with white-out; match old wheel orientation with new wheel. As stated, it may be keyed, therefore completely unnecessary.
