How to boot DVD with my ps2 mod chip?

I added a mod chip in my PS2 last summer. The chip is 2.5 Nero if i remember well. I used to play CD games with it (games made by CD, like GTA3, NHL 2003...), but now, I wonder how I boot the DVD games with my chip (games made by DVDs, like Vince city, FFX).

Ususally, when i play CD games, I put the boot disk in, then "Start Game" then "without Code", then insert the copy game and that's it. For DVD is different, I heard that I need a original DVD game and need to press and hold the reset button while I loading the game....

I tried, it doesn't work and i don't remember the procedure, anybody here know how to do it?
