How much to sell my car for?

Hey im gonna try and sell my car pretty soon here, what do you think is a good price to aim for? I think i owe like $11,700 on it still, its at 68k miles BUT the engine only has 17k miles on it. And i got an $800 clutch and FW setup, would give the person a brand new OEM clutch and fw and pressure plate. s*** i think i even have an extra set of brake pads and cross drilled rotors. There are no major scratches or dents, just normal wear and tear. And the interior is pretty clean if i vaccum it out. I added up the milage the car has and the milage the engine has, and divided it by 2. That gave me 42k miles and thats what i put in kelly blue book and it gave me a value of 12,900. But i dont think that included the Nav system.
And if i sell the car i would probably need to get rid of the new interior i did (see this thread http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123629512 ) so i will probably look for someone to trade me their OEM interior for my new shiney interior. lol

Check Autotrader.com and see how much they're going for. Price yours lower than most of them if you want to sell fast.

To be perfectly honest, though, you may have a hard time selling it because of all the extra stuff you've done to it. A lot of people won't buy a car that's been modified.

And I think for a lot of people a car that is that new with a replaced engine will hurt the sale. Maybe don't mention it

If the whole car had 18k miles I'd be all over it. Your 3 is one of my favorite ones on here, I just love the blue with the gunmetal wheels. yum

on a side note... i just looked up an 04 on autotrader within 100miles of my zip and most prices were ranged from 17-15k... wtf??? thats crazy!!

i plan on getting an srt-4 next. And as far as all the extra stuff ive done to the car, that can all be fixed easily enough. Im sure i could find someone to trade me their OEM door pannels and everything that i painted for free. I still have the OEM springs, and with my hoist and tools those could be swapped out really easy. Even the exhaust, because its bolted at the flange, could be swapped out with an OEM one. Hell i'de even powdercoat my wheels and trade someone for their OEM colored rims. I know it sounds like alot but it would take me a good day or two to get it back to stock. The only thing that would stay is the clutch and FW cuz im not pullin the trans out.

P.S. Sometimes i see gauge clusters on ebay goin for like $100, what if i swapped mine out for one with less miles??? Would that work? (thumb)

It might. Until somebody hooked up a diagnostic computer to it.

Another question: since the odo is digital, are the miles stored in the IP or the ECM?
