3 years ago the best thing I added to my CX-5 was a 2" rear hitch, then I purchased a Stowaway2 cargo box on a pivot swing arm for long trips with our 2 greyhounds, lastly was the Weathertech hitch step for my son.
I will definitely add a hitch to my next vehicle and the cargo box will last for many years.
