help!!!!Any1 fix their antenna, or replace it?

This is the adhesive version that they produce. It's a permanent adhesive so it's not meant for CPU usage. I've used it in past to secure heat sinks to southbridge chips where there are no attachment points. It's pretty strong stuff. I've got a dried sample so I just need to find my multimeter to see if it actually conducts.

Ill give it some research, all I really need is about an eraser or 2 size worth of compound that will carry and electrical signal that might do it.

Well I just checked whether the compound I have is electrically conductive and no dice. There's got to be a product out there somewhere that should do the trick.

I did an odd job of cramming aluminum foil in the hole and then trying to screw the other antenna on...no luck with that one either.

lol.

Anyway, taxes are coming back, Ill probably just order the friggin 60 dollar base and an aftermarket antenna soon.

Oh Btw Tsuru thanks for the photo thread, crazy me would have removed all the posts and interior top pieces just to keep from wrinking the headliner but that looks like it will work with significantly less work.

So I took it all apart and saw that i had drilled to far. I was able rebuild it and have it working about 70% with stations far away cutting in and out....so the 60 dollar base was still going to be needed. SO, i did what any other guy would do... I swapped the whole assembly out with my 5's antenna and am trading my 5 (2006 59k miles) for a mazda3S HB and am keeping her 5 (2008, 18k, a lot nicer than mine was).

So....thats how I repaired it lol.
