Yesterday, after strong SoCal rains, my Sirius radio in my 2006 MZ5 went silent on me, and later, stopped being detected. This morning, I had a chance to see if something came loose, and I found that it was wet on the bottom. It is mounted to the left of the spare tire, which happened to also have a puddle of water in it. Nothing in the interior of the car was wet....
What I'm wondering is, did they put the module in the correct location? Does anyone have the dealer instructions for installing/mounting the Sirius module? I'm unfortunately 5K miles over the warranty, but if there's a way to show that it was negligently installed, I might have a case to have it replaced...
Any help would be appreciated!
