So I didnt quite see this welcome forum before I started posting stuff.

Anyways, thanks for answering some of the questions I've posted on here already. Some are rhetorical and others are just stemming from my lack of mechanical inclination.

I bought my Speed6 on June 24, 2010 with 54,483km's on it. I put another 3300km's on in just over 3 weeks. As of now, she's rocking with about 75xxxKm's total. My round trip commute to work is only 30km's give or take.

I like to drive what can I say. However, this car does not like my lead footedness.. much to my dismay.

Check this out:

So far, I've experienced the thunky clutch usually from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. Three dealerships shot me down in my quest for new motor mounts. My 2nd gear synchro is slowly on the way out. Turbo smokes occasionally but I dont idle that long now and luckily don't get stuck in traffic but I do laugh at the mofo's behind me in any long drive thru (sometimes I'll rock the starbux drive thru just to piss in someone cornflakes). My right rear door doesn't open from the inside (works good for keeping the ladies in). Some dude merged into me within the first month of owning her and almost drove off after we pulled over and I went to check for damage. I regret not calling in a hit n run. So my baby has a nice dent on the right front fender and bumper cover. I have a coolant leak from the rear of the block - one dealership said the water assembly, another just said they'd need it in the shop for a few days to diagnose it and then order the part.

And THE worst part. British Columbia introduced some ridiculous speeding laws in September. Had I known this, I would've either stuck with my crappy Civic Reverb which I do not miss at all except when I do get stuck in traffic (only use for Auto) or just bought something else. I hate being able to break the law in any gear AND barely even realize it. OK OK, thats a lie. It's fun as hell! Just the consequences suck balls.

Pretty much 30km's over is guaranteed an excessive ticket. But 20-39 will do. That'll carry an initial fine of $369. A Yearly "Drivers Risk Premium" of $320 for 3 flippins year and 3 points on your license where each point is $100 and payable upon license renewal. That's right one ticket was $1629.

Now, if you're caught doing 40 over the speed limit, they jack your car for a month, tow it on the spot, suspend your license for a week and issue a similar ticket at $469 plus all the other stuff which with towing and impound fee's average out around $35-4000!! My details could be wrong on parts of this but it's always on the mind when I'm behind the wheel b/c we have some seriously awesome mountain roads up here with some stupidly slow speed limits.

But I digress.

Thanks for having me!

Welcome. Ontario has some pretty strict new laws too for 30+ over, but you get used to it pretty fast. Now cruising at 125 seems just as good to me, and it saves on gas in our thirsty cars too.

Welcome to 247!

Man-O-man troubles gallore!! Sounds like a mixture of hard-driving, bad luck, and ... more bad luck.
I'll be honest man, this car is not meant to be flogged. It can handle a bit of abuse/hard driving, but not all day, all the time.
The more you mod it, the more you have to take care of it, it requires constant preventative maintenance otherwise it goes downhill FAST.

if you dont start taking care of all the major issues now, its gonna only get worse, and fast.
I dont mean to tell you how to treat your car, but i feel you'd be better off in a evo or STI, or anything else that can take nonstop abuse.

Hopefully you love the car enough that you will be investing into major repairs soon, and hell i dont know you, so perhaps you balance the amount of care of your MS6 with the amount of hard driving you give her... i just wanted to mention a few warnings about the MS6 for ya in case. :D

cheers
