2008 Mazda5 Grand Touring
Greetings, I have a 2008 Mazda5 Grand Touring with 64,000 miles.
I noticed that both my front seat heaters don't warm up although the switch lights turn on, so I'm thinking it's not the fuse.
Anyone with the same pronlem? Thanks.

I have a 2007... the driver's side started doing the same thing just over a year ago or so (lights up but no heat). When I had it in at the dealership getting a few other thing done... had they look into it, they traced the problem... seems the actual heater coils in the seat had failed and was something north of $650 to fix. Now I just don't have a heated drivers seat.

Mine had no option for this.
Just installed the coil on the weekend, I wonder if you could take it apart, remove old coil and add aftermarket if you like that option.
Since all the wiring is done for you, I'd guess that you would just need to cut the wires as the seat and solder the new once.

It's funny on my 09 I didn't really care about it until I realized no wires go to the switches. With the bumper to bumper warranty expired I didn't wanna deal with the dealer trying to charge me to say it never had it and then start some huge hassle over heated seats.
