I've just purchased a new 2005 Mazda 6 and have a question concerning the headlights. There is one of the lenses ease side that is not loaded w/a bulb. It's the smallest round lens. Looking under the hood, one can see that there is a dummy socket (no wires), loaded in the lens.
Does anyone know if this is for optional driving lamp set up. The dealers supposed top mechanic first said it was for fog lamps, but those are; then he stated they're just for looks... I'm not sure about that and would like som input from others.
When I purchased the car, they told me it had all the bells & whistles... so far I have not found either.
Any help to determine if these can be populated with driving lamps (come on w/high beams or switched separately), would be appreciated.
