being completely lazy here at work so i'm not doing a search so i was wondering how do we adjust the hedlights? with the HID's i'm kinda nervous at night with the PO PO because the car gets enough unwanted attention i don't want any more of it from them.

dont worry man.......when I put mine in they where right on the road. the AZ cops are real jerks about headlights...but they havent said anything yet so Im all good. Also I have had them in for about 1 month now.

What kit are you getting.....I can get you one for 330 if you are interested.;)

Take your car to a state approved aiming station. It shouldn't cost more than $30 and takes about 30 mins. Then you know you are legal.

nah, not going to bother with that nonsense. if i can install the stuff myself i sure as hell should be able to adjust them. i just haven't gotten a chance to look at what i was dealing with yet. plus i'm not going to pay some greasegorilla any amount to do say "yup, dem dare lights are aimed right, yur good to go!" i'll just take a couple minutes this weekend and have a go at it. thanks though guys(dex)

HIDs for 330? where? what kind?

probably some 8500K kit which will be more useless than useful. like i stated in another thread. you usually get what you pay for and when i paid the $600 or whatever the kit was from LITESWAP i got some quality stuff let me tell you, and customer service that equaled it in every way shape and form. just don't get so excited when you see something you think would be more for a lower price than you'd imagine. odds are theres a reason for it

Yep. Some states that have periodic vehicle inspections actually check the aiming before the car passes.

The old fashiond way was that they would have a series of vertical and horizontal lines painted on a wall and another painted on the ground then they would aim the headlights at the proper spot on the grid. Now they have some fancy electronic do-dads.

To me its worth $30 to have them aimed correctly and avoid a fix-it ticket. Since in CA it costs arount $30 to get a fix-it written off anyway(court/processing fees).

That and badly aimed HIDs are a pet peave of mine... everytime one of those jackasses is driving towards me I want to go catch up to them and re-aim their lights with my club.
