HI. first post on this forum. just got a 2002 Protege 5. it has drls and I want to keep the drls. It had an HID kit in it which i took out ( not a fan of HID ). when i installed the stock bulbs everything works as normal... except with just drls on. My fog lights ( with fog switch on or off ) and right head light come on... but not the left. The HID kit used the left low beam plug as switch power for the relay. Seems like they have cut out the left low beam from the drls for the HID kit. Not sure were to start looking to put it back to stock? wires under the hood seem clean no balls of tap or any signs of rewiring.
