Harry Potter Questions

As I sit here watching Harry Potter for the 37th time I have a few question but there is no way I am reading the books?

1. Who the hell gives him the Nimbus 2000 and the cloak?

2. What was the head of Slitherin House's relationship to Harry's parents ( Professor Snife or something like that)?

3. Why couldn't Voldimort kill Harry when he was a baby?

question 1 i guess those will be answered in the 3rd harry potter.

question 2 is i think Professor Snife is related to him and now one knows it or his parents told Professor Snife to watch over harry. that would explain question 1.

question 3 i think is b/c he is a powerfull wizard? or the choosen one? i don't know. i think that will be answered in the 3rd harry potter or the 4th!

I know the 4th book has been written and all of these questions are answered in the books. I think it was in the thrid where all this stuff came out.
