corral pricing and schedule details will be posted as soon as we finalize and get more info ... from the initial schedule on grand-am.com looks like all grand-am racing is done on saturday. i guess i may need to take friday off for this one too!

anyone with hotel info, post up. don't forget with hotels during big race events they do book up quick ~ always better to book now and cancel later, just read and understand cancellation policies.

who all is planning on going? i'll start a count:

1) Marlon and I
3) THE Phen
4) Chris (subspeed)
5) Chippy and Justine
7) Pablo
8) Tom (for same reason as Phen)
9) Daniel (Sok) and friend
11)

I see how it is... just assume that I'm going and sign me up...

Oh wait... I am going. Probably a given eh?

if it's a BIG corral - i.e. VIR, LRP, MidO, you got the hard card for a reason buddy! you got to earn your status and help us OUT!! so yeah, i put you down already ... i just forgot to get your name right, i'll fix that now.

Hehehe. I was joking. You know I'm gonna be at each and every race where something is going on.

We don't run. We run s***.

Here are a few openings for hotels:

here are the links i found. They are the only ones left in danville or south boston. They dont have good rating but they are pretty cheap. it doesnt matter to me the rating...it could be a little entertaining depending on what we find. Its up to you

and there is a super 8 http://www.super8.com/Super8/contro...23&propBrandId=SE&force_nostay=false&tab=tab2

I get a discount if i book them with my AAA membership

We are doing everything in our power to be there. We will not be caravaning down with you guys however: We are going to spend the week before with Tine's mother in Cape Charles, VA--then drive to the track Friday and stay overnight for the races on Saturday.

I am sure Dave B will make the trip down....he's good for a couple of trips down.

Sok (Daniel) from Huntsville, AL and a friend from Knoxville, TN will be there for the weekend. Keep me posted.

we'll leave mid afternoon to get home at a decent hour - by 9 - 930p ish? we could leave earlier if there's nothing entertaining going on, i'm sure there will be racing of some sort on sunday, just don't know what and when yet. nothing posted on grand-am's preliminary schedule.

Is this just a spectator event for us? Or are we helping out with something?

I'll plan on attending, I'm in love with VIR now HAHAHAHA!!! On the drive there and on the way back, I think we definitely need to visit Lover's Leap for some fun driving.

oh look... I don't even have to say I'm going. It's already been put into the plan.

Huzzah!

It's pretty much given. If Chris is home and can drive, he shall.

Steve is working on the pricing for us, we are going to meeting with John Doonan and Jim Jordan, along with Freedom and Long Road Racing to get a hospitality package put together, so stay tuned!!

i just booked our room at the Days Inn, South Boston, VA for $100 for 2 nights ~ Fri and Sat night.

this week, Marlon will be getting the ticket pricing and corral code you'll need when purchasing tix, so stay tuned for that. he left a message for the contact person at VIR today, so i'm sure she'll get back to him tomorrow.

Cool! I plan on either getting a hotel room booked this week :), or finding out for sure that Justine and I can't go :(
