Girly Stuff!

2010 Mazda5 Touring
I'm a 2 day owner of a 2010 Mazda5. Still trying to fall in love with her, but it's not quite love at first sight! Now for the girl silliness. I want to replace my driver's sun visor with one that has a lighted, larger vanity mirror. Can't seem to find one. Hey, this is important to my effective use of sitting in traffic time! Do you think such a beast exists? Many thanks!

Micro-mini Zoom-Ma!

Awesome! Thanks bunches! I guess this will have to do. I was hopeful just to replace the entire sunvisor with a built-in, but after digging through Mazda accessory parts, it does not appear there's one available. Thanks, again!

Thank you! It does appear I'll have to resort to a clip on type. I'd checked a couple of auto stores, but hadn't thought of Walmart. Thanks again for the suggestion!

Get a small battery-powered LED vanity light to clip-on or stick-on perhaps? Just keep an eye in Walmart, discount stores and what not.
Those LED light uses so little power, a good battery will last like forever.

I have a small LED light torch that uses 2 AA batteries. I mainly use that for camping (couple of times), and now at home or in car whenever. The same set of batteries have been there for like 7 years... kinda ridiculous lol.

Even if Mazda did supply something like that, it would be made by some else, lighted, and probably cost $250. That's my guess based on the ridiculous prices of stuff like the cargo area cover that's like $140 or something. Just buy a $10 clip on mirror.

Regarding falling in love at first site; my fiancee said the same thing for about the first year she drove ours. Now, when I ask if she wants to trade, she looks at how much is missing compared to hers and what the cost is and says, "i love my car". LOL It will grow on you as you utilize all of its capabilities and get used to the extras they have.

+1 Save some cash and get a cheapo.

Yup, this sounds like a fine plan! Thanks! It's incredible how this one little issue is taking so much time to correct! I'm about to just break down and get up 10 minutes earlier and "beat my face" in fake light! LOL! Thanks for your help!

HAhhah! I love your thinking! I'm sure you're right about it's high dollar price tag should such a thing exist! I did buy a $12 clip on at Pep Boys and wouldn't you know it didn't work! This is just how these things work out for me! We laugh here at home about my uncanny ability to "always get the defective one"! It's really becoming comicially absurd!

Thanks, too, for sharing your fiancee's story. I appreciate the encouragement! I'm slowly coming around. My "new" Mazda is replacing my old 2003 Town & Country that I've driven for 8 years which had every bell and whistle available. Leather, moonroof, DVD, remote electric doors and lift hatch, dual temp control, built in garage opener, pretty much everything but a good transmission which I replaced in December! LOL! Not to mention I'd had it long it enough for it to be long paid for - which always makes something prettier!

So my new car is a whole new ballgame. Back to cloth seats, many fewer bells and whistles, no more V6 and a car payment! SCARY! The upside of the new one is more "engaged" driving, she's really fun in the parking garage, I'm getting about 2 more miles to the gallon and it still kinda has that "new car" smell!!

Thanks, again!
