Getting a good launch?

I usually launch at 4-5K on the street, 3-4K on the track, the higher you launch the less wheel hop you get, also the less traction you get off the line, its kinda a lose-lose situation

even on the 14.9 i got a little wheel hop, it sucks, i need motor mounts.

"Launch" means to "throw forward" which is something rear wheel drive cars do very well. As you apply power, the weight shifts rearward, giving the drive wheels all the more grip. The car "launches" out of the hole.

On a front driver, any RPM which causes the front drive wheels to break loose is a couple hundred too many. Then, as the weight shifts rearward, the front has even less grip than it had when you attempted to "launch" and all you're doing is making expensive smoke and noise.

Just find your technique. You can rev a little higher say 3k and let the clutch out slowly (to avoid tire spin). Or you can rev lower and try not to spin them (say 2k). Just find out what works for you.
