No, no word on the pillar pods. Trust me, it's going to be a while before those are done because the project hasn't been started on yet. They've been focusing on the steering column pod; now that those are done and they're beginning to ship those in the next few days to all the pre-orders that we've been receiving through this board, they can finish their original project *cough* turbo *cough* and start on the next project.
Mac Daddy, I know we received a few orders that are going to Arlington TX, I'm not sure which one is yours... you'll get a tracking number in a day or two. What's your first name?
One of them is mine. When are you shipping them out? You guys must be making some serious profit on those. I know it doesn't take much money for materials. And for someone who has worked with materials you are using, it's probably very easy for them. That's cool though, it's a good looking pod, well worth the $80. Now I need to figure out where to put my air/fuel gauge. Maybe in the glove compartment with the Link.
It's a lot less profit than you think... to have something injection molded initially costs quite a bit, and unless you're ordering enough plastic to make like 500 of them, the duplicates aren't all that cheap either. Plus, they're high quality pods
Ben, your order is shipping this week I beleive. Like I said before, this is kind of a pre-order thing that I was able to get for us. So they were still kinda working on the packing materials (instructions, any necessary install parts, etc.) when I started taking orders the other day. You should receive the pod and have it on your ride in a week.
I got it yesterday. It looks good. I havent put it on permenantly yet but I have the gauge in it and it's kinda just on there. I'll have to affix it permanantly when I have time. I had to put my grill on that I ordered also. The pod looks good though. It doesn't block your vision of the other gauges at all. Just kinda blocks the odometer, but that doesn't matter anyway. If I were taller it might not block the odometer. LOL! I'll take some pics of it today if I can.
You can use my pics if you want. I have higher resolution ones if you want them. I had to resize these to upload them on this site. The originals are like 3megs each.
Damn ben your interior is clean man. Hey Inimical_01ES, would I be able to rig a bigger gauge in there? I have an egt gauge from greddy that is 60mm(unsure on yankee measurments)
Thanks
Terry
I really like the pods you are selling. How much are they selling for and are you willing to ship them to Toronto, Canada? I might be able to get a group of my Toronto Protege Club members to buy this as well. I want to fit an Autometer Air/Fuel Ratio meter in there. I love the way that thing looks!
ChopstickHero, the price on each pod is $84 USD but, if you or anyone else wants to get a group buy going on these and you order atleast 15 at a time (which shouldn't be a problem for you guys seeing how many members you have) I can probably get them to you for around $60. Or maybe even $84 and I'll throw in a gauge for each one or something... Either reply here or email me at christopher_durso@hotmail.com.
