Just a fun poll to help pass the time until the flash to fix our hesitation is available.

We already have been told that there is no loss of HP with the flash. So, how much MORE HP do you think we'll get with the flash of the ECU? Let's limit this to PEAK HP for now, and hope someone does dyno runs before and after to show us the shape of the curves.

Have fun! :D

[Edited out Razor's comment/reply.]

Now on to the poll. With Mazda's announcement of the decrease in RX-8 numbers, I doubt we'll see a very substantial increase in the MSP numbers. Don't think that'd create a very good vibe for RX-8 owners. Although I may be wrong and I hope I am.

t3ase, donated $29.99. dare to be different?
i bet 5hp most. hopefully it'd be more but i doubt it

I'm gonna go with zero for now. Although anything added will just be icing on the cake.

I say zero. It's a problem w/ mid range RPM, so it will show HP gains at certain times in the power band, but it probably won't affect PEAK hp. Just my theory.

I am thinking no extra pea power but I have a feeling the majority of the power band will get a noticable increase. Hopefully someone dynos before and after.

must be (stoned)

who the hell posted 45? hmm? who was that one person???

lol................shiieeet I WISH !!!

*prays* "oh please oh please be 45 hp"

I'm another one who thinks the PEAK horsepower won't change but I'm betting the car will FEEL more powerful throughout the RPM band simply because it won't be running like a turd anymore.

Where does the MSP make peak power, and is that where it stumbles? It seems to me that the car HAS to pick up power. Its stumbling because its choking on fuel and there is not enough air in there to go boom with it. If you get rid of the superrich condition and get closer to stoich, it is impossible to not make more power. I leaned my Z out from 10.3/1 to about 12.5/1 and picked up 10rwhp and 16rwtq.

have a bad feeling that it will not be much of any. i hope that it is more, but i'm gonna say 0 and hope some one prooves me wrong with some dyno sheets.

the ecu flash would probably remap fuel and timing map. this is probably only good for 5, since the ic heat soaks fast, mazda won't be pushing too aggressive on the timing and still won't lighten up too much on fuel.

5 got my vote
