Ford Z-Plan and the MS6

Good evening everyone,

Thanks for taking the time to help out. I'm attempting to trade up to an 07 MS6 but am encountering a few road blocks. My questions are below.

Does anyone know if the the Ford Z-Plan (Retired workers) currently covers the MS6? I've seen talk of an S-Plan, is it the same as the Z?

Now, I was at a dealership today and was told that it would be covered, but when my grandfather called in get the pin he was told otherwise. He was told that only the B-Series truck is currently available under the Z-Plan discount. Don't get me wrong...he's a great grandfather but he didn't seem to be too sure....Does this sound correct?

I have searched but did not locate an answer.

Thanks!
Trey

I know with specialty vehicles there are differences and I'm not to sure how much difference there is between the S and Z plans. Here is what happened to me a couple years ago when I purchased a Mazda3. My sis-in-law worked for a Ford Dealership at the time so I was told I qualified for the S plan, and when I went to the dealership they gave me the S plan price and said that it was a "set price" and could not be lowered(it wasnt low enough for me to be able to afford it at the time). Well some way or another we found out we didnt actually qualify for the S plan after all and that it was only immediate family, regardless when they found out the only way they were going to sell the car was by dropping the price they did and I actually got a better deal then the plan pricing. Moral of the story - Email the dealership or go in like you know whats going on and tell them you want Zplan pricing and you will give them the pin just as soon as you can get it, chances are I believe they will give you the price. (maybe not but it worked for me and the 3s were selling better then, than the Speed6's are now) Anyhow with the rebates and such going on right now and the pressure to get them off the lots you will probably get a better price negotiating then you would from one of mazdas set prices since I dont believe their plan prices are affected by rebates and such. I could be wrong. Sorry for the winded response, its the only way I could tell the whole story.

Okay. I'll have to try that technique. I know the car has been on the lot for a while so hopefully they'll work a deal with me if the Employee discount does fall through. It's getting towards the end of the month and you'd think they'd want to make a deal. We'll see. Thanks..

I wasn't aware that anything but S-Plan was available to Ford people on a Mazda. Mazda has an E-plan for their own people.

S-Plan is within a few dollars of invoice.

ANY of Ford's Plan pricing (A, X, Z, etc.) will qualify for S-plan pricing through Mazda.

S-plan pricing is Invoice on the vehicle. SOMETIMES (not all the time) they will have rebates as well as S-plan pricing for anyone who qualifies for Plan pricing (IE, Invoice - $500 Splan rebate).

S-plan pricing is @ the discretion of the dealership. They decide whether or not they want to infact honor that pricing. However, the MS6 does currently qualify for Plan pricing.

In the event you have plan pricing from ford, you have to have the pin switched to an Splan pin. Generally speaking the dealership can do this for you. You may want to check on Zplan pricing... Im pretty sure, but not positive, that it will infact qualify for Splan pricing.

Eplan pricing (as someone mentioned) are ONLY for direct employees of MNAO (not even dealerships qualify).

z-plan is for relatives...we just used it to buy an 06 ford focus... mazda technically doesn't have to honor it, but a phone call to your regional office will pretty much guarantee they do...thought it may not be on the vehicles you want
