Fog Lights

Does anyone know how to wire the fog lights to the park lights, so they come on with the park lights instead of the headlights? I still want to use the toggle switch, but when the park lights are on instead of the headlights.

you might have amperage problems, but find the wires that go to the front running lights. Split the wire, and run one split back to the toggle on the dash, replacing the incoming wire (which goes with the headlights) with the running-light wire. (you should be able to find the running light wire under the dash, a volt meter would make it easy). After that, whenever running lights are on, you would be able to toggle fogs. However, since I dont have my fuse list nor wiring diagram in front of me, you may blow a fuse doing this. But hey, give it a shot, if you blow one, just wire it back!

Beware, back-current from a blow on something as high-wattage as bulbs could trigger something else. But you should be fine. Often neons are wired to run with running lights, but they have a separate power source.

Yeah I think that is it, thanks. Let me get this right though. I'm running a jumper wire to the green/blk wire?

That rewire turns your fogs in to untoggleable daytime running lights. If you want to toggle, I think that might be different. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but that's how I read it. And notice that you cant run fogs and highs at the same time.

I have yet to do this, but I'd say your right! If you see Derrick's post to use a line splicer to tap into that green/black wire, it's the easiest way. Let me know how it goes.

That's what I thought the first time I read it, that it is on when your park and headlights are on, and no toggle just on with the lights and off with the lights. I still want to use the toggle switch, but I also want to use the fogs with park lights and head lights. Now I'm not sure what it will do.

I have personally done this mod, and everything still works, the toggle still works the illumination at night still works, and they come on with the headlights and parking lights whichever you prefer to turn on. they dont work with the highs on however.
The only thing I did different was not cutting or splicing wires. I took apart the wire harnesses and used male and female spades.

I did this mod, then changed my mind. I want the fogs to come on just with the parking lights, and not the headlights. I do however like the mod, cuz when you turn on the parking lights, the fogs come on with a dimmer headlight, then you turn the headlights on full and they brighten up even more. Kinda like a JDM honda. If anyone finds out how to use the fogs and just the parking lights let me know...Later,
