fitting a MSP exhaust on mp5

yea the axle back part of the exhaust will need to be shortened

wouldn't the best and easiest place to cut be somewhere after the resonator and before the s-bend? imo welding two pieces of straight pipe together would be easier than trying to get curves to match back up.

im also wondering can i install a MSP exhaust to my mp5 03

I currently have a MP3 exhaust on my P5, you will need to make some adjustments to the pipe after the muffler...that is all..shorten it about 4-5 inches and you'll be fine...

Remove you're existing exhaust and lay them next to each other...You'll see they are nearly identical...I would personally have an exhaust shop do the alterations...Should only cost 40-50 bucks....

Shortening at the S bend will NOT make it fit...(scratch) Don't really understand that approach...

in order to shorten the exhaust, you'd be removing parallel length, right?

ghetto MSPaint skillz time!

i was saying that it would be easier to remove 4-6" of piping from one of the red areas (parallel length) NOT the blue area (perpendicular length) instead of messing with the piping that's welded to the muffler (axleback).

it is the exact same distance from the cat to the axle, AFTER the axle is where it needs to be shortened.

if you shorten from the cat to the axle, then it wont fit!

everything else is the same except from the axle back section....the tip has to be shortened, not the entire exhaust...

What's the issue with adjusting the exhaust to fit??? It's super easy....Like I said, an exhaust shop will do it for like 40-50 bucks...

You can get a MSP axle-back for like 50 bucks and adjust it...so you've got a nice axle-back for 100.00 bucks...that's a good deal..

100 bucks to make an MSP axle back work on a P5 isnt really that great of a deal...an axle back isnt going to get you any power...despite anyone's claims....if you want to change the axle-back at least go cat-back and get a little extra power...

on the other side of the coin, maybe the OP poster has a MSP catback already and doesn't want to drop $400 on a new RB catback.

Got mine for $60 bucks...already cut to fit...

And I'm not gonna drop that kind of money for negligible gains....If I was turbo-charged I would do it, but N/A is weakness...
