I finally bought a MSP today. I paid 21k out the door for an 03.5 titanium with an extended warranty and dupont teflon coatings for the paint(protects against bird crap, acid rain, etc. warranty for five years), coating on the interior( if anything gets stained or cracked within five years they will fix it), and an undercoating with a lifetime guarantee. I really liked it. I just need to learn how to drive stick a little better. I actually stalled on a pretty busy road at peak time (5 pm), so some people were not too happy with me. I could have gotten a black for cheaper but I liked the gray better. I love the car.

edit: I was also wondering if you guys also got a regular shift nob, like the one that comes in proteges?

AFAIK the 03's (mine) only have a Sparco shifter knob while the 03.5's come with BOTH a MazdaSpeed and a regular shifter knob.

got it with my black mica back in feb, though it will never see any time in my baby. hehe

I didn't get a regular shift knob.. Although I won't complain about that, I've got larger issues to deal with.

people say you only get a regular shift knob if the salesman accidentally leaves it in the glove compartment when they change out to the sparco. heh.

Heh- my car had the original in the glove box when I test drove it, when I saw it, the salesman said "looks like someone was trying to steal a shifter knob- they do that, put a stock one in the glove box and try to swap the sparck one out later"- and then the prick put it in his pocket and walked away with it .. Whatever- typical BS salesman s***.
