Well,

It seems I have a million projects in one state of completion or another. But, with a couple days of focus I have finally got our Miata to the point that I'm not embaressed to drive it any more. lol. Here's some pics of the progress...

Midway through adding the 01+ tails.

Get those wheels out-a-here!

Sad the things you have to do to avoid getting sued. I wanted to put something like, "The vehicle is on jack-stands. For your safety please don't touch it or the owner will ******* kill you!" lol.

A taste of things to come...

Wha Laa!

Finally, here's how she sits as of now. Yeah, I know I still need to drop it and a few other things. But, I think it's a major improvement. I hope you all agree.

Worry not, the clear side-markers on the rear are temporary. I bought an extra set to try them out in back and then realized they clash with the red tails. So, I ordered a new pair of red ones because the stocks were so covered with waax residue. I'm also going to wire them in so that they illuminate with the rest of the parking lights as they should have stock.

I added a Momo Automatico shifter to attempt to downplay the fact that it's still an automatic. lol. I matched it with a Momo Pitstop e-brake handle and new boots on both the shifter and e-brake. It might not be for everyone, but I think it helps out the interior. (BTW I know there are a few members interested in this shift knob. Let me just say it is not a simple install on a Mazda. So, put a lot of thought into it before you buy one.)

Here's the BP. I haven't done much in here. Fortunately, the former owner did do a few things right. Under the hood is where most of them were. SRI w/ heatshield and porting and polishing of the intake manifold were both already taken care of when we bought it.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. Mabey it'll get MiataGyrl99 to actually start posting on here a lil more. lol.

Natey, thanks for looking out. Might just have to put in a bid in the closing minutes. I'm gonna check out what else he has to offer.

Dave, lol. When I get started on a project I think the only things I consume are large amounts of Mountain Dew and cigarettes. Surgeon General's Warning working on your car may be hazardous to your health. lol.

WOW! She is BEAUTIFUL on those rims now! I bet they well a helluva lot less than the three spokes, eh?

VERY nice!! (thumb)

What brand are the wheels?

So what are you going to do with the clear lenses that are on the rear? Wanna sell them? Will they fit on the front side markers as well? I want some for the front of my car, but just haven't done it. :D
