Fastest Way To Get Mazda to fix this problem!

I'm no lawyer, but I would think it's a bit early for that. I'm sure they need a "reasonable" amount of time to find a fix. Now the definition of reasonable may be up for debate.

Don't be so quick to litigate, but if you're really that pissed, follow your states instructions on lemon law procedures

LOL, when did you buy your MSP ? How many miles ? Do you have the issues we do? Im not tryin to flame ya bro, jsut let the ones who have been dealing with this issue handle it for a little longer before a lawsuit. Besides, a lawsuit will take ALOT longer then it's worth.

Once all the data is gathered by the people who have hammering away at this issue foir the past few months gets together, that will be enough ammo to go against Mazda with, if there is no fix.

That would require a lot of DOCUMENTED problems, not just ranting on a message board. The hesitation occurs, there's no doubt about that, however, until there is proof that the car is operating outside the parameters that were set into the ECU by Mazda at the time of purchase, then the action is fruitless. Plus, I don't think you can be involved or recover damages since you are not a current owner. Also you cannot recover if you purchase now, because it could be said that you were aware of the problem, that makes you an educated buyer, and that you enetered into a contract to purchase the vehicle anyways.

Maybe we should just wait and see if they do fix it. Anyone here remember how long we waited for our Mazdaspeeds to begin with? I had my deposit down for nine months, and I assume some waited longer. Then if it does not happen, we should put together an organized systematic professional method of filing a formal complaint to Mazda. I like the idea of concentrated "attacks" of sorts by multiple plagued MSPs on local dealers. Imagine what excuses the service manager would come up with when 10 MSPs showed up on the same day with the same complaints.

I understand Bling, its just I hate seeing s*** like this, when I, along with a few other people, are trying very hard, and spending alot of our time, to work with mazda/dealers/callaway, to get a fix.

Dealers/mazda do read boards like this, and seeing something like this will not HELP the situation. Trust me on this. It will be worked out WAAAAYYYYY before any lawsuit would be needed. :D

Again, I can appriciate where your coming from, but it is way to early to even mention that ammo. :D

As far as lemon law goes, the car has to be failing for the same DOCUMENTED problem that the dealer has tried and failed to fix multiple times (varies by state). I went through this with my Corrado. The dealer, if the acknowledge it, will simply blame a different part or describe a alternate circumstance that makes the problem "different" than before. Therefore it does not fall within the definition of the lemon law. Laws vary, but this is generally true.

I didn't mean to come in blazing with my class action ammunition, I just want this car, and like you guys I want it without issues. I could have bought a yellow, black and orange MSP if I wanted. but I want the silver. Everynight I think about it before I go to bed. Everymorning I come to this forum to see what's new. I know I don't have any right to speak of a action suit. Soon though I will have my color then I will have your problems. I'm wanting to buy this car knowing the problems-
Is that sad???

good point britt, like i said, i'm no lawyer :) but i figured just hinting that we may invoke such a process may do more to get there attention then doing nothing.

Bling, regardless of the issues, you will love the car. It is exciting to drive, and I acntually cant wait to drive to work, just to do it. :D

The issues will be fixed, it may take 6 months, but it will. Im probably the most impatient person I know, and I can wait 6 months or longer, if need be, for this car to be perfect. :D

If you guys can forgive me I will never talk of this again. I don't know what I was thinking. It's just hard you know. The didn't make very many, I've been to the only two mazdaspeed dealerships in my state. I've watched them sell 2 in front of my eyes. I looked at a black MSP, then two days later they shipped it to Norman, OK where I saw it again. Here's somthing funny in Norman, Ok they had 1 orange MSP it sat for months, upon months. NOBODY LIKES ORANGE IN NORMAN. I like Mazda they made this beast. In modified mag this month a driver who took the prototype for a spin said it was insane. I want insane! Even if the did water it down for public consumption.

"Insane" was a quote by Abel Ibarra. Someone here met with the Callaway guys at an autocross and I think they said the car was the same.

I love my MazdaSpeed Protege, but insane? Kinda strong words for a car with only 170hp. Now if it had 400hp, that would qualify for INSANE!

I took it out on some tight twisty roads on sunday afternoon, scarred myself! I'm still finding the limits of the car as far as handling goes. Not the fastest car I've ever owned, but aside from my dad's Grand American race car, definately the best handling street car I have driven.
