Factory 6-speaker wiring?

I'm curious as to how the 6-speaker sedan factory setup is wired to the HU. All my previous systems have been setup with just a basic 4 speakers and a sub or two, and I know many people are just omitting the two rear door or deck speakers, but how is it all wired? Is the factory HU a 6 channel, or just a 4 channel and the rears are run in series or in parallel? How does this also affect the ohm rating of the speakers?

The front speakers are a tweeter and mid paralled to a single channel on the radio. the rears are independant of the fronts. THe radio is a four channel/ Unforintunitly I have not had a protege around with a stock system to test the impedance.

I know about the mid and tweeter but I was under the impression that there were speakers in each of the rear doors as well as the rear deck, but I just went and checked the doors and although there is a grill on the door, I can't hear any sound coming from it. Are they just false grills, or do the P5's have the speakers in the doors and they simply use the same panel?

Correct the P5 and sedan have the same door panels so in the P5 the speakers are in the doors but the sedans have rear 6x9s and no rear door speakers.
