So I decided to go with an extra injector set-up instead of large primary injectors. I had Nick put on a 2-injector base on a stock msp cold side pipe. I am using 2- 577cc injectors. I verified the injectors are working properly by firing them off at idle and with a 18 in the 8X16 column and went to a 11.6 a/f.

I tooled around with the car today at 11psi to start. I am up to 60's-70's in the 8x16 columns and I am still only getting 13.1 a/f ( It was 14.8 a/f without the extra injectors.) The car is running smoother than ever, and the plugs are showing no signs of lean condition or rich condition, they look almost perfect (heat range is off alittle).. How far up in the number range can you go? And what do the numbers represent? I can't imagine this thing being this hungry. These two 577cc should practically double the engines fuel supply. Yes I am going off the MPI a/f and no I don't have a w/b. Maybe the few times with leaded gas has caught up to the O2 sensor? Or can I go to like 180 in the 8x16?

Well i need to find this out to mine arent hooked up yet . I running 10 psi and still only running rich off the charts . So do you think i could go to 12 psi with the extra injectors and be safe . I was wondering th esame thing on what numbers to put in and were to make them fire at You got a mpa so i cna look at how yours look .

Interested to see how Nick went about doing that... I was thinking about this when I heard about your plan a couple of weeks ago, but forgot to ask you. So, how did he do it? PM if need be.

I am pretty sure that 99 is the highest you can go, but I am not 100% on that. Get a WB02 and see how close your MPI readout is to the actual readings.

[threadjack]Brian: are you going to be around tomorrow? I'll be in Nassau helping Em's dad with yardwork. The wheels are yours if you still want them.[/threadjack]

give me a call when your in nassau, I'm not sure of my plans tommorow.

Id like to see the setup in a stock pipe also

Ranges are -127 to 127 for the numbers on the analog map
Each value of 1 represents the analog voltage change of .039v
Obviously once u hit 4.98v your done so you may not hit 127
For the Injector map the valve of 1 turns the injector on for .1ms
The highest you can put in the injection map is 255's

All this info is in the manual

if u want it i can email it to you, if you dont have it.

The stock narrow band is off. You need a wideband to get an accurate AFR reading. I've compared the o2 output with a wideband and its been off by a lot at various points.

Sam may want to go to 12 soon . Dallas bound ?(deadhorse

Here's a pic. of the injector set-up. Whats the cheapest w/b w/ datalogging? I don't need a gauge.

What terbow said!!!!! You will probably need to go higher. When I was O2 tuning, I had numbers over 120. Keep increasing them until you get what you need. You won't run out of fuel, Dean's MSP was using the 2-42lbers when he did the 330whp, and I don't think his numbers where that high. Those were smaller injectors then what you have.

So is that thing epoxied to the plastic pipe, or how is it done? Pretty slick, but you can see them, (no) , that doesn't look stock!!! (thumb)

$320 Innovate LM1. Looks like your battery says Mopar b****?!

Yeah the injector base was plastic welded and used some serious type of epoxy, plus the metal band, it ain't goin anywhere, lol.

Well I'm up to 99's and its 12.8-13.1. I'm going to replace the O2 sensor because I caught it being lazy today. But I am also going to buy a w/b in the near future.

The picture does make it look like it says that, it actually says orbital. It is a re-badged Optima that I got a really, really good deal.

Help!!! lol

Alright I offically stopped believing my O2 sensor today. I went up to 120's and it still showed 13.7:1 a/f. However I developed a weird situation. Now when I shift gears (upshift) at WOT (letting off the gas to shift) when I get back on it, it sits there. The a/f shows 26. like I'm not hitting the gas. The deflection still shows all the way to the right column showing that it is floored. It doesn't buck or anything, it literally sits at that rpm and starts slowly going down like it doesn't know the gas is pushed in. I thought maybe it was from the injection numbers being so high and it being really rich so I lowered them back down to 90's and the problem still exists. I have to let off the gas and slowly get back on it and then it will run strong until the next gear change.

Anybody run into this? Do I have the set-up wrong? I did not do anything other than start plugging in numbers in the injection column when starting to use the extra injectors.

Like I've said you can't tune based off the stock o2. I've tried and the #'s have been off compared to a wideband. The deflection is based off your TPS reading. Check your sensor or connection.

Thats what I am saying, The deflection shows that the throttle is still at WOT.

Check the connections, reboot the laptop, unplug and replug the serial connection, uninstall and reinstall the software. Other than these things the TPS signal could be the problem.

I'm gonna look at the tps through the wds tommorow. I have to bring it in to put my 7th. radio in anyways. I wish I could get my good laptop to work with the MPI, I have to use a crappy IBM thinkpad that I can't even look at a datalog on because it is so slow.
