Extra Injector set-up(MPI)

I'm gonna look at the tps through the wds tommorow. I have to bring it in to put my 7th. radio in anyways. I wish I could get my good laptop to work with the MPI, I have to use a crappy IBM thinkpad that I can't even look at a datalog on because it is so slow.

Good lord, 7th? I must be the only one running my original radio still... s*** shouldn't have said it, my radio is gonna die tomorrow now, lol. knock on wood dammit.:p

It won't communicate with the mpi. I have a usb to serial adapter. I've tried every comm. port and it says only number 3 is valid, yet it still doesn't work.

I had the same problem. Did you get a software CD with the adapter? Try reinstalling the software if you did.

Did it do it before when you had the 90's the first time? Maybe it's because it's too rich. How much boost are you running? Are you running the TM and adding fuel through the stockers as well. If so, maybe those numbers are too high and you are actually real rich. I had something kinda similar to this, but it would buck because I was WAY rich, like below the 10.0:1 my WBO2 can read. I trimed the fuel around the switch, trimed the xtra injectors and added more through the stockers. Then I went back and added more though the xtra's where I needed it.

I don't know about your's just falling off. Get a WB and see how rich you really are.

Well here's an update for ya. Thanks to some helpful information from Terbow I was able to get my new laptop to work. I went out and datalogged exactly what was going on. I found I was dipping down to 11.1 a/f while in boost. This confused the hell out of me, as just this morning I datalogged the same map with the old laptop and I was still in the mid to high 13's. So I swapped back to the old laptop and my a/f's went back into the high 13's.
Conclusion, my old laptop was getting a com speed of 3 sometimes 4. My new laptop is getting com speeds of 13 and higher. I beleive that it was not updating the info. fast enough to acurately read the a/f's.
I sent the map to Nick and he gave me a few suggestions. Helpful as always.
I'm gonna be trimming this map up alot, lol. I'm pretty confident that this was my delima the whole time.

NICE!!! So how did you determine the COM speed? I didn't even think they would be different. Did anything change from before? Maybe you were too rich before too?

I was running insanely rich before, it went off the chart rich and never came back, lol. After cutting the injection numbers more than half I was able to run a 13.63 @ 103.5mph 12psi w/ 12.1-12.3 a/f ratios. I tried cranking the boost up more but thats all the stock wastegate would give me. I uncapped the exhaust and gained 1-2psi and spun hard on the line. The mph went to 106. Needless to say tommorow I will be installing my 15psi wastegate.

Ahh this is good to know. I am back up into the 100's now at 17psi. Tommorow should be interesting.

17PSI on a stock engine? is that gonna work very well? i would be scared of destroying something. although i don't know your situation but your sig says stock everything. hmmm, please inform

The 15 Psi spring should get you well close to 18 PSI if you are running Cat-Less.

BLKZoomZoom.. Yes... I don't think anyone is dumb to the point that after all the motors that have busted, 17 Psi would not be a goal for a stock set of RODS...

Oh, Sweet Sweet "PISS-TONS"
