Emissions Testing Station??? WTF??

As I was leaving work this morning, there was a line of orange cones leading up onto the on ramp. I got closer, and there was a van, and a sign that read something like emissions testing station? :wtf: I have heard about these, but damn, seeing one at work..... From what I hear, they take a picture of you plates if you are out of spec.

What state do you live in? And is it like those Drunk Driving test were they stop everydriver on the road???

I live in Texas, and you don't get stopped at all. Some device takes a spectrum analysis of your emissions as you drive by, and takes a picture of your plate if you fail.

Im guessing you had ur off-road pipe on? Ive seen quite a few of those on on-ramps around dallas.

Yeah, I was in a rental though due to my little misshap with the broken rod. This was the on-ramp to southbound 75 from McDermott in Allen.
