Door Cover

I was just wondering:

I got two dents on the rear driver side door, and I was wondering: should I take off the door cover and push the dents out, or should I take my car to the dealer that I bought from and have them fix it.

If I do the latter someone told me that my warranty doesn't cover it, that I'd have to go to my insurance and have them get someone to make an estimate and charge me $500 just to do something I can do by myself.

I haven't talked to my dealership yet, so I guess I should do that. But I'd think I'd rather do it myself. SO, if someone has any experience on how to take off the door cover, please let me know!

I already pried off the sides, it's just that something in the middle is holding it, I suppose it's the armrest but, there isn't any screws or something else that I can take off. If you know how to take them off, could you please tell me :( ? If you have any pics on how you did, that would be even better.

Thanks!

If it's just a dent, call up your local "Dent Dr." and have them fix it.
MUCH cheaper than a body shop, because they will just push the dent out, where as a body shop will probably want to replace the entire door skin.

Thanks

Thanks azeli, the website was great. What I'm going to do is pop the dents out myself. My cousin is pretty good at fixing cars so he can help me out.

You said there is a crack between the two?.... your paint will chip off... be careful.

Yeah...

Yeah, I know. When it rains, I have to tape the crack because I don't want water going in. But what also sucks is that my paint is real thin. I all ready have two paint chips, one hardly noticeable, while the other is friggin big, about the size of a nickle. Everytime I see it I begin to cry :'(
I just got the car in November '02, and all ready I'm having bad luck with it. Everytime I see the dents and the chips I feel like I got kicked in the balls (nuts)
Maybe we were never meant to be... (sad2)
