ding noise when starting ignition?

I just started noticing this like ding/metal noise when i start my car, and it does not always happen. After the car is turn on it goes away its actually during ignition. Any idea of what it could be? starter shaft staying in? i have 35k on it and fluids are topped off right.

im not 100%. but the same happened to my friend's ms6. just to make sure when you start up your car it makes noise for about 2-3 seconds and then it completely goes away right? and after you turn off the engine and turn it back on in the next 5 minutes the noise doesnt appear. but if you let it cool for 20 minutes or so the noise comes back.

If thats what happens, we asked around and found out it was supposedly a spring in the engine that keep motor oil in the tensioner part of the engine. and that spring gets stuck therefore letting the oil out of the compartment and causing the noise.

i think it was SU that told us that its not a big problem at all and its a factory defect.

Yet again im not 100% sure about the problem. and this may not be your case.
