I've dented my front bumper. I know it can't just be punched out because its plastic. I've heard I need to get it remolded with a heat gun. Anyone had this done before? Estimated price I should be looking for?

how bads the dent? sounds like the whole bumper needs to be replaced. excpet $300 proabbly for a whole new bumper plus paint and install.

It's not that bad. It's in the lower right corner. The affected region is dented in pretty deep but it only covers an area about 4" in diameter I'd estimate.

I have had the same problem for a couple of months...I hit a curb and got 2 small dents...the only way to get them out is w/ a heat gun..or so i hear...i haven't tried that...it's really cold here in NJ....and don't bother getting an estimate to get it fixed...every place i went wanted over 200 dollars to fix it...and that's w/out a paint job...

Hi all,

So far, I've dented my bumper once and the ex dented it once. The lower right corner sounds like what she did. I took the fender liner out and pushed the dent out with some tools around the house. Just make sure you use something with a rounded end or something that's not too too hard so as not to dent it from the inside. The dent I made was from being stoopit. I left it in nuetral at my folks house and it rolled into a crepe myrtle tree. D'oh! That one pretty much came out on it's own. You really have to look for it to see it.

I would definately recommend using a little heat to warm everything up a little. Prolly a good hair dryer would work. I would also do it as soon as possible. Plastic does have a memory.

Good luck
