Daytime Running Lights DRL not working

We are still getting to know our 2006 GT. My wife toggled the high beam on and off a few times and the DRL on the driver side is now not working. I did not get an owner's manual with the car so I assume the DRL is just the high beam running at reduced power.

So, to get the DRL running again, I can just change out the high beam bulbs? If it is like other cars this procedure should be pretty straight forward, so if there are any I have to look out for any advise would be welcome.

Thanks.

Our Canadian M5 are running DRL on the low bean not the high beam. I remember all M5 from 2006 to 2008 are low beam DRL. I only see 2008 M3 switch to DRL on high beam

I have a USA 2009 5, and I have a few open spots in my fuse box under the hood. I suspect mine may already by wired up to have DRL's but since they are not required in the US the fuse or relay isnt put in. Could any canadian let me know which fuse/relay spot on their 5 controls the DRL's? I am hoping just adding a fuse or relay will give me DRL's.

HID conversion?

So, it looks like the lo-beam has to be change out. Since I have to change out the bulbs, I mind as well put in some Xenon bulbs. Looks like a nice and easy conversion replacing the stock 55W bulbs with a 35W Xenon with a ballast that runs cooler and brighter.

Does anyone know of a good source in the Montreal area for a HID conversion kit?

Sorry for french guys, it's a group buy in french for HID.

Thanks AwaKeN for the group buy information, bon prix (good price). I did some reading and what is not clear is how the DRL circuit works with the HID kit. Is it a direct replacement or will I need a relay kit, or just use a different ground on the HID kit?

You will need a relay kit (10$), i saw how the guy installed it, i can help you out if you need help to install it.

It's written on the fusebox !

I just checked again to make sure I didn't miss it when I looked the first time. I have 3 or 4 (can't remember now) open relay spots and on the lid they just have big"X's" in them, nothing written. If you could look at yours and tell me the location on yours that would be greatly appreciated.

I`ve just check on the fusebox under the hood and did not see anything written DRL or Day lights ...
