Dash light problems...

Having problems with my dash lights, and confused on whats causing the problem. The lights are so dim that i can barely see them. The thing is when im at a stop there near impossible to see at night but when i start to accerate, they get brighter? Could it be the alternator, or maybe a bad ground? Please help this has been bugging me! And its not the dimmer switch, its turned up all the way lol. Alright thanks

i would get your alternator checked out, and look for a possiable ground issue. since you say it gets brighter as you accelerate then i would guess that the alternator is going out.
