2017~2025 CX-5 won't start when push button pressed and steering lock

2020 CX-5 Sport Nav having an intermittent issue where car won't start when push button pressed and steering lock coming on.

Anyone else having this issue? Went away on its own but happening again.

What's the status of your fob battery? Have you tried replacing the fob bat? What about the second fob?

What color is the Start button while this is going on? Have you tried holding the fob up to the Start button when it's acting up?

Have you read through the section of the owner's manual that covers this very subject?

Yes replaced all the fob batteries numerous times. Yes held it up to the start button. It flashes green. But then three beeps and steering lock comes on. Yes I've read the owners manual - I did that first. I have tried everything as has a local mechanic and nothing can be found. Battery been tested to and it's fine.

Do you have any aftermarket things like remote start installed?

No nothing , it's a weird one. Several people reported the same. A few videos of the issue on YouTube. No one got to the bottom of it yet.
