cruise control

hi.
I have a mazda5 2.0 diesel sport. 2006-2007
does any know if fitting cruise control is the same as a mazda3? I.E fitting new steering wheel switches and changing brake pedel switch.

The diesel never made it to North America[emoji20]

Smaller companies tend to reuse the same parts as much as possible. That said, IDK if diesel and petrol cruise control are interchangeable, and IDK if diesel cruise versions are interchangeable btw the Mazda3 and the Mazda5, but it is more likely they are, esp if they use the same engines. But the cabin ergonomics are different, so there would probably be some in situ modifications that need to be made. That is if they are compatible.

I feel old now


Going oem would that not be super expensive

Thanks every one for your replies. Have ordered a second hand steering wheel, with the controls, only cost 15.0, ($25.00) and brake light switch as well for about the same price. Not much to spend IF it works. Going to fit it all on and hope for the best. Thanks again.

I'd have thought some dealer programming would be required to enable the feature.
