could a mazdaspeed protege????

because normally when you add mods to a car it leans out your air/fuel mixture creating more power.
well yes depending on the mod agreed.

sorry i was referring to a big enough mod where it would actually require a tune/ or re tune

Even if I slapped on a MSP turbo kit to a P5 with a minimal amount of boost and no tune it would make more power than a stock P5 and that's a pretty significant mod...

yep fully stock as that one is they suck lol trust me been there done that. exhaust, pulley and heat exchanger atleast with a tune and its s whole different car. turbo swapped its even a whole different story. wanna make that lsj motor fast turbo swap unless he has money to get the harrop tvs supercharger and upgrade the cooling system etc. and go e85
If he had the money he would get an SS/TC. Idk why he likes Cobalts, I HATE working on it.

ok well what qualifies as a big enough mod? My car had a 505 intake mani, mam exhaust mani,fmic,gt28rs @ 10psi, 3" intake, jdm intake cam, corksport s-pipe, and a full exhaust all on the stock ecu and it ran great my afr's were good low 10 afr when i tipped into boost and high 11's in topend. here is a video of that.

<table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/Wm05g7ddR1HQtCCONf45_jZALqnoRSBG3Qy-h78sWwM?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-jzJfoKh0au4/T56kjPGZPLI/AAAAAAAAAgw/9ws7qR5LCus/s144/VID_20110606_173015.jpg" height="108" width="144" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/r.c.martin88/MyProtege?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCMnt4d_73NqXcQ&feat=embedwebsite">My Protege</a></td></tr></table>

i was thinking like going n/a to turbo in my p5 but as stated above by the other member if it was an oem msp kit on my p5 for example on low boost it would not necessarily require a tune as I was assuming

man i loved working on mines. it scares me to even mess with my p5 idk y. looks confusing to me. but offer me a cobalt ss and ill get to it seem a lot more simpler to work on. or its just maybe because i did so much on it i got used to it lol

I love turbo sounds.

The protgs are a lot better about mods with the learning ecu. But some newer cars such as scion tc and cobalts can be pretty pick if you do more than an intake because they're tuned right unlike the pig rich protege. The best thing about the sc was almost instant power no waiting for spool up. I personally love the wine of a supercharger.

Your input through this 7-page argument has made reading it worthwhile

Lolz

Through out my few years of experience at my work place I've learned that sometimes no matter how much you argue they won't listen. So, I haven't really been arguing.

i was listening lol glad i got the info you guys provided

turbo sound from our lil civic ended up making 525

I'm not going to watch that video because it has the letters c i v i c in it. lol, I'm a hater. Someone stated earlier about most honda owners not having originality and I agree. One of our local honda ricers actually just went to prison for dealing heroin soooo, yeah. 18 year old kid ruined his life over drugs. Not saying that every honda owner is into drugs though.

That's a fact, especially when it comes to cars. Most people get offended or just don't want to hear it. Ricer has become an identity to these people who add tasteless mods, counter argue any fact, and stand behind their ignorance, and for what?

Agreed on the Honda thing. I don't hate Hondas, personally I don't visually like most of the cars and don't want one, but it's the Honda scene around here. 98% of them are dickheads who talk s*** because their 1988 Hatch has a 6" exhaust tip or some BS. You can barely find a used Honda around here that hasn't been ruined by these people. Yes there are a "FEW" decent Hondas. My brother-in-law has a 500hp S2000 that was tastefully done and was in multiple Magazines. My friend Alex has a Hellaflush '08 Si. 2 out of 300...very few

I'm not one to villify an entire group of people, but Honda owners perpetuate the "rice movement"... The last 3 MSP owners that have posted on here, coming from the Honda scene, are complete morons...

Like in my drag truck build follow thread. I tried arguing the importance of fluid dynamics and they didn't want to hear it. Luckily it's not a setup that they're going to use for it. Although we already have another order for a 2nd setup they probably will still make the same mistake they did with the first one.

Back on topic.
Could a mazdaspeed protege ________?
Short answer: If you have enough money, time and knowledge. Yes.

I didn't come from the honda scene. My first car I got for $1 was a 1991 Buick LeSabre limited, lolz
