Silly sounding question but would a fuel pump kill your gas mileage? Or does it only really add extra fuel when you boosting . . . which means you can still drive under 3K rpm's for the same mpg.

CorkSport Mazdaspeed 6 'Power Series' Downpipe

The CorkSport Mazdaspeed 6 Power Series downpipe is constructed from 304 ss and is a bolt up high flow replacement for the stock downpipe cat assembly.
The test car had a Mazdaspeed intake as the only modification. The dark line is the baseline with 265 torque and 229hp. The run with the downpipe is 291 torque and 267 h

I am really confused. ETS Intercooler, DNP manifold, MagnaFlow 3" and Access Port and only 264HP and 316 Torque???? No other mods making horse power? Either something is wrong with this car or dyno or some manufacturers lying. Just my 2 cents.

dynos don't mean much, different dynos give different numbers.

Don't concentrate on the peak gains Gio ... Cobb is very careful in tuning the area where the peak gains are as that's when s*** happens with the cams ... that's why you only see 3-6 in the 5500 rpm area.

If you only look at peak gains, you're being fooled bud. It's the gains around the WHOLE curve that count.

As an example, let's say I lost power everywhere else but gained 100 around 5500 where we make our peak ... would that be better? No way man!

Another thing to add to on bova80's post is this is my car on the same dyno on the same day without even having moved the car off the rollers AND resetting the ecu before the stock runs and then the Cobb runs. You can't get any more fair than that and like was mentioned you can't compare different cars on differently calibrated dyno's in different parts of the continent done at different times ... haha hope I made my point.

I see all the numbers and the curves. I am not saying that the AP doesn't make power or Cobb Tuning is a bad company. I observe very carefully all the posts and what the differrent manufactures saying about the power gains from their components. No numbers matching that's what I am saying. I am sure that your car is fast and AP helping the car to run better. When I read that someone installed a down pipe and making 38hp more, even peak, and cut back exhaust and air intake where all this power goes? And the funny part is that the claimed HP is on the wheels. That means is even more in the crank. According to every manufacturers claimed power this car should have : 38HP from down pipe + 20HP from the intercooler + 15HP from the +exhaust + 5HP from the intake + AP another 23% HP => (stock HP on wheels +78)+23%= .Does someone has stock car dyno numbers? I want to know how much are the powertrain loses. And then how many different dynos exist? HP is HP. Right? At least in the states we use metric HP. What is the real HP on the wheels for our cars when stock? Please help me to understand. Thank you.

simply put, hp from one mod plus another mod dosent = the additive hp figures of both mods

It's not all about how many different types of dynos are out there, but more about the environment they are set up in. A dyno set up in south florida will give a much different reading than it would if the exact same one was set up in denver. Temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure can all drastically change results as much as the calibration can. As has been said before, best way to gauge the approximate gains from any part is to look at the percentage gain between two pulls (before and after install for example) at as close to identical conditions as possible.

Also, this post gives +5hp while remaining 98% fat free... that's how important flat numbers are.

+1, I am trying to convince my self to spend the money for the Cobb, but is there a map I can use for the MS cai and 93? I saw one for MS cai and 91, would I be ok using this one with 93?
